    Supplies

    • Large cardboard box or paper mache base
    • White crepe paper streamers
    • Gold acrylic paint or spray paint
    • Tissue paper (pink, blue, and purple) for the mane and tail
    • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • Scissors
    • Black marker or felt for eyes
    • Small cardboard pieces for ears
    • Cone-shaped cardboard for the horn
    • Mod Podge or craft glue
    • String or ribbon for hanging

    Instructions

    1. Create the Piñata Base

Cut out two identical unicorn body shapes from cardboard.

Cut long strips of cardboard to form the sides and attach them with tape or glue, leaving a flap to insert candy later.

If using paper mache, layer strips of newspaper over a balloon or cardboard frame and let it dry overnight.

    2. Cover with White Crepe Paper

Cut strips of white crepe paper and fringe them by making small cuts along one edge.

Glue the fringed strips onto the piñata, starting from the bottom and layering upwards.

    3. Add the Mane and Tail

Cut tissue paper into long strips and curl them slightly by running scissors along the edges.

Glue the strips along the back of the head and body to create a flowing mane and attach more to the back for a tail.

    4. Make the Unicorn Horn

Roll a sturdy piece of cardboard into a cone and secure it with glue.

Paint the cone gold and let it dry before attaching it to the unicorn’s forehead.

    5. Attach the Ears and Eyes

Cut out two ear shapes from cardboard and cover them with white crepe paper.

Add small gold-painted details inside the ears and glue them onto the head.

Draw or cut out black felt pieces for the eyes and glue them on.

    6. Add the Finishing Touches

Paint the hooves gold for an extra magical touch.

Attach a strong string or ribbon to the top for hanging.

Fill the piñata with candy or treats before sealing the flap.
